Sugar Cookies


Servings: Lots! / Total Time: 4 hours / Bake at: 350 degrees for 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cup sugar
  • 3 sticks butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 Tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 4 cups flour

Directions

  • Whisk together baking soda, baking powder and flour.
  • In a separate bowl beat butter and sugar until smooth, add eggs and milk. Slowly add dry into wet ingredients. Mix until combined, do not over mix. Refrigerate for 3 hours. Roll out on lightly floured surface. Add flour to dough to make less sticky. Cut out shapes, refrigerate for 10 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Butter Frosting Ingredients

  • ¾ cup butter, softened
  • 9 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Butter Frosting Directions

  • Beat butter until smooth.
  • Gradually add 2 cups powdered sugar beating well. Slowly beat in milk and vanilla.
  • Gradually add remaining powdered sugar. Add extra milk if necessary.
