Fish and Chips
Batter
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup corn starch
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2/3 cup beer (cold)
- salt and pepper
- Add water to thin as needed
- Put in fridge for 30 minutes.
Dry Mix
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
Directions
- Heat oil to 350 degrees
- Dry fish with paper towel, cut to size if necessary
- Coat with dry flour mixture
- Dip in batter
- Fry for about 5-7 minutes depending on thickness
