Fish and Chips


Batter

  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup corn starch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2/3 cup beer (cold)
  • salt and pepper
  • Add water to thin as needed
  • Put in fridge for 30 minutes.

Dry Mix

  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour

Directions

  • Heat oil to 350 degrees
  • Dry fish with paper towel, cut to size if necessary
  • Coat with dry flour mixture
  • Dip in batter
  • Fry for about 5-7 minutes depending on thickness
